Dr. Tian Tian, Chinese young composer, faculty at Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing, Winner of 2016 George Enescu Competition, member of International Composers’ Forum of Enescu Festival 2017, Champion of 2013 Beijing Modern Music Festival Symphony Grand Prix and The Fourth Young Composers Project.

Dr. Tian earned his Doctoral Degree under the instruction of Professor Wenchen Qin. His compositions cover orchestral music, symphonic poem, chamber music, chamber opera, dance and other forms, with a wide and varied range of themes, which have been played in China and abroad, and gained recognition as a passionate and poetic composer.

Dr. Tian’s commissions include symphony poem Dedication to the Journey for Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, orchestral music Autumn Epiphyllum Blooming at Night for China Contemporary Music Creation Center.

His work Concerto for Orchestra, which won the grand prix in 2016 George Enescu Competition, was premiered by George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra at the Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum, and was also performed by the Symphony Orchestra of Central Conservatory of Music in the New Year Concert at the Opera Hall of the conservatory.

In May 2013, the symphony poem August Sound won the championship at the Beijing Modern Music Festival Symphony Grand Prix and the fourth Young Composers Project.

Some of his other works, such as concerto for percussion Linjiangxian, chamber opera Triprism, chamber music Monologue at A Snowy Night, Green Lantern and Dream Shadow, and Capriccio in Yan'an, have been published and distributed by the People's Music Publishing House and the Central Conservatory of Music Press.

As a young teacher, his students have also achieved excellent results in a number of international composition competitions. He is also one of the team members selected for the Ministry of Education's first batch of national first-class undergraduate course Professional Harmony.

田田，自幼随父学习音乐，本科与研究生阶段皆就读于中央音乐学院作曲系，2017年毕业于著名作曲家秦文琛教授的博士班，同年以优异成绩留校任教，现为中央音乐学院作曲系和声教研室青年教师。

他的创作包括了管弦乐、交响诗、室内乐、室内歌剧、舞剧等多种形式的音乐作品，题材丰富广泛且多样。其作品曾在国内、国外多地得到演出，并引起业界的强烈反响。主要作品有：管弦乐《乐队协奏曲》、《秋昙夜咏》；交响诗《敲响的八月》、《历程的献词》；打击乐协奏曲《临江仙》；室内歌剧《三棱镜》；室内乐《夜雪独白》、《青灯梦影》、《延安随想》等。部分作品已由人民音乐出版社、中央音乐学院出版社出版发行。

此外，他的作品《乐队协奏曲》曾在2016年9月经七位欧洲顶尖作曲家所组成的评审委员会严格评选后，获得罗马尼亚乔治·埃内斯库交响乐比赛冠军，这是中国作曲家在此项比赛中所获得的最高奖项。此获奖作品在罗马尼亚布加勒斯特雅典娜神庙音乐堂由埃奈斯库爱乐乐团首演，并在中央音乐学院歌剧音乐厅举行的新年音乐会上由中央音乐学院交响乐团演奏。他也受邀参加2017年埃奈斯库音乐节国际青年作曲家论坛。

2013年5月，交响诗《敲响的八月》在北京现代音乐节交响乐大奖赛（暨“第四届青年作曲家计划”）上获得冠军。

作为一名青年教师，所指导的学生亦在多项国际作曲比赛中斩获佳绩。他也是入选教育部首批国家级一流本科课程《专业和声》的团队成员之一。
